“Seeing the Glow Worm caves was truly a great adventure for us – a brand new experience in our life. We also enjoyed seeing the beautiful countryside getting to and from the caves. Our lunch at the Bakehouse was delicious and fun for us to try as we don’t have many special meat pies in our country – the only hard part was choosing which one to get. The waterfalls area and also the forest area were also beautiful and thoroughly enjoyed. We would recommend this tour for sure to those searching for this particular area of New Zealand. We had great fun.

“Rob our driver was a real test! Great knowledge base and very good sense of humour Glow worms were fantastic, never saw anything like it. The tropical forest was really interesting. The falls were exciting as there had been big rains the previous two days. Also the best chocolate factory around. Delicious Great picture taking opportunities. Overall a fantastic day

“The waterfall/park were very pretty. The glow worm caves were amazing….they would be worth visiting even WITHOUT the glow worms! Our guide was funny and knowledgeable. We even had time to sample chocolate at a candy factory and do a little shopping. Definitely recommend.”

Excellent tour and guide Tony

“I didn’t’ have high expectations for this tour going in as I thought all caves were pretty much the same, but I thought it might be a good way to see some of the country side. Boy was I wrong. The Glow Worm caves and the stories about their discovery ware fantastic very interesting. The rest of the tour was similarly wonderful. Tony was an excellent guide giving us a good mix of history and current life of the area. The whole Bay of Islands area is beautiful.”

Memorable tour

Particularly enjoyed the glow worm caves, especially as it was a small group of eight. The scenery around this area is wonderful and we were able to visit a couple of locations that bigger tours can’t access. Top Notch Private Tour

“Our private tour of Bay of Islands with Matt was stupendous! First of all Chloe’s customer service was wonderful. I booked the tour about a month ahead via email and Chloe was polite and prompt with all of her responses. Matt met us promptly at Waitingi Wharf in a beautiful new BMW X5 and we were on our way. First we went to see the glow worms at Maori-owned Kawiti Caves. I told Chloe about my bad knee and she arranged for us to take a slightly shorter tour that still showed us lots of glow worms. We saw majestic Kauri trees at Puketi Forest, funky artistic toilets, and had a fabulous lunch at Marsden Winery. Chloe even made sure they had green mussels on the menu at my request, a must do while in New Zealand. Matt has a fantastic sense of humor and kept us laughing throughout the day. Fabulous tour of a beautiful place!“

3 hour winery tour – perfect!

“We had a fab afternoon with Matt on the 3 hour winery tour. He was awesome, super friendly and informative. The three wineries were amazing. The first two were nice and small where you got a good feel for the place and the people who make the wine. The third one was bigger but also very cool. Awesome afternoon, would highly recommend and will definitely do it again when we come back. Thanks Matt!”
